We are seeking an experienced and professional Delivery Driver to join our team here at Furniture Fair. In this role, you will transport and deliver a variety of goods and materials from our warehouse to our customers. You will plan the most efficient way to complete your deliveries, ensure adherence to delivery schedules, and complete the delivery... paying attention to detail and completing these deliveries to our customers satisfaction and our Company's expectation. The ideal candidate has experience driving trucks and furniture delivery experience with good decision-making skills.
Responsibilities
- Deliver furniture, mattresses and/or appliances from one location and transport to our customer's homes. Assemble merchandise and set up.
- Plan the safest and most efficient routes from your truck into the customers' homes, to minimize complications.
- Adhere to delivery schedules
- Comply with all company policies and driving laws
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a furniture, mattress & appliance delivery person is preferred, but not required.
- CDL is not required, however, all of our drivers will have a DOT certification. The company will provide that certification.
- Applicants will need to have a valid NC driver's license and be 21 years of age or older
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Willingness to go above and beyond what is needed to complete deliveries
Delivery Personnel is a face of our exceptional customer service! As a vital part of our team, you'll ensure that our furniture reaches our customers' homes safely and on time.
Responsibilities:
- Safely load and unload furniture from delivery vehicles.
- Deliver products to customer locations with care and professionalism.
- Provide excellent customer service during all interactions.
- Assemble furniture at customer locations as needed.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines during deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Assist with floor inventory management as required.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a good to clean driving record.
- Previous experience in delivery or logistics is a plus.
- Strong communication and customer service skill is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
